This drone pilot certification workshop is an intensive workshop to prepare candidates for the FAA's Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification Exam. It does not teach operation/flying skills. 

Class size is limited. The course fee is $400 and covers lunch and study materials. To take the exam, an additional $175 is required.

The Drone Pilot Certification Workshop is a 2-day prep course taught by Mandy Briggs, Institute of Aviation at Parkland College.(Mandy's students have over 99% success rate of passing this exam). It is intended to prepare candidates for the Drone Pilot Certification required under the FAA's Small UAS Rule (Part 107).

Agenda:

December 15: 8:00 am until 5 pm with practice exams to be completed on your own in the evening.

December 16: We will reconvene at 8:30 am until lunchtime. Exams will be scheduled for the afternoon at Madisonville Community College- (2.5 miles from the extension office)

  • Exams may also be taken at another time and/or place if the participant chooses to do so.

The exam will take approximately 2 hours and will be scheduled at the FAA testing center, located at Madisonville Community College. A separate fee of $175 will be paid to the testing center when exam appointment is scheduled. (Instructions and more information on this will be sent)
